Her mother Andleeb works for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party as a senior member. Further, she has a brother named Haider Abbas Mirza, born on December 14.
Abbas studied at the University of Warwick, England, where she received an MBA in Marketing and Strategy where another journalist, Ritula Shah also studied.
