Amanda Freitag

American chef, Amanda Freitag, is well known among viewers for being the judge of the Food Network reality series Chopped. She is also famous as the co-host of the American Diner Revival with Ty Pennington.

Freitag, besides being an amazing chef and popular television personality, is also a celebrated author. Her cookbook "The Chef Next Door," is a favorite among food lovers. Furthermore, the 49-year-old is also an entrepreneur and an influencer with strong social media followers.

Amanda Freitag was born on May 11, 1972, to her mother Kathleen Freitag and her father, Paul Freitag. She is the only daughter in her family. The American chef spent her childhood with her two brothers Jason Freitag and Justin Freitag, in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, in the United States of America. 

Freitag completed her primary education at Cedar Grove High school. Later, the New Jersey native joined the Culinary Institute of America and graduated from there in 1989.  Another Celebrity chef Anne Burrell is also an alumnus of Culinary Institute of America.

After graduating from culinary school, Amanda started working under Jean-Georges Vongerichten in Vong but left it in 1994 and went to work at Veberna under the chef Diane Forley. 

Freitag then traveled to Italy and France for a short period to gain a wealth of experience and observe a bountiful market and progressive restaurant scene. As a professional chef, she returned back to her country and partnered with Godfrey Polistina to open a restaurant, Cesca Enoteca, in 2003.

In 2009 she appeared on the Martha Stewart Show and competed even in The Next Iron Chef Season 2. As of now, she frequently appears as a judge on Chopped alongside Judge Alex Guarnaschelli, Judge Chris Santos, and more. 

Freitag, in recent years, has also started a new restaurant named Rise & Thyme in Dallas, Texas. Also, she launched a digital series called "Easy AF." Her net worth as of 2021 is estimated to be around $ 3 million.

Is Amanda Freitag Married?

As of now, there are no media reports of  Amanda being married. In fact, there is no news about her currently dating, and it looks like she is currently single.

Nonetheless, there has been speculation about her romantic relationships in the past. Once, it was rumored that she dated an ultrasound technician, Raphael, for more than six years. Similarly, she was also suspected to be in a relationship with a hunky man named Gregory Alan. None of these rumors were ever confirmed.
