Amy Schumer was born as Amy Beth Schumer on June 1, 1981, in Manhattan, New York City. She is the daughter of Sandra Jane Schumer and her husband, Gordan David Schumer. Her father owned a baby-furniture company, and her mother worked at home. Schumer's father is the second cousin of U.S Senator, Chuck Schumer. Amy graduated from South Side High School in 1999.

Amy walked down the wedding aisle on February 13, 2018, in Malibu, California. They had a private wedding ceremony. Only a few members from both the families and some close friends attended the ceremony. Amy Schumer surprised fans in February when she announced that, "Yup," she had tied the knot with Chris Fischer.

The love birds first met each other in 2017, when he came over to Schumer's vacation home to cook for her. After receiving Molly's blessing, the pair officially became an item, and things moved quickly after that, Schumer recalled.

A few months after they began dating, Fischer proposed, and Schumer said she took three to four days to plan the wedding, including picking out a dress.

Soon after their wedding, In October 2018, the love birds opened about expecting a baby soon. On May 5, 2019, Schumer gave birth to a boy named Gene. There were many experiments to finalize the name. Initially, They concluded name as Gene Attell Fischer but late change to Gene David Fischer. 

Both of them are very much close to their baby. Amy has been away from her career to look after her son as Chuck remains away for his show most of the time. Another Famous Comedian, Hasan Minhaj, welcomed his second child, a son in March 2020. 

As per sources, Amy has said that, she can't be mother again. The pair seems to be looking for a surrogate mother for their second child.
