Anna Grace Phelan was a 19-year-old American TikTok star who touched the hearts of so many with her courage and spirituality. She lost her life in May 2025 after a tough and aggressive battle with glioblastoma brain cancer when she was just 19 years old.

She attended Jefferson High School and graduated from it in 2024. Shortly thereafter, she began working as a receptionist at Georgia Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Dermatology. She grew up with love, education, and religion. Even as a faceless online persona, she was already leaving a mark in her hometown. Her family and church were solidly at the roots of her foundation, and they gave her the strength she required when her own health began to decline. 

Surrounded by Love 

Anna Grace came from a big, loving family that loved her more than words can say. Her parents, William "Buddy" Phelan and Nadine Elizabeth Turner Phelan, were her biggest supporters. She also had one brother, Harper David Phelan, who supported her every step of the way.

Her grandpeople, David and Robin Turner on her mother's side, and William and Stephanie Phelan on her dad's side, were also huge in her life. But the affection did not stop there. Anna Grace had a very big family with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many more. They all adored her and looked after her during the bleakest of times. 

Although she never had children, the joy she dispensed to her family was very clear. Her family was in her social media stories quite often, encouraging her to keep going. Anna Grace wasn't loved—she was loved. Their encouragement was part of her story and helped her cling to hope a little longer. 

Working with Purpose 

Anna Grace worked as a receptionist for a dermatology office in Georgia after high school. The clinic focused on aesthetic procedures and skin cancer, which might have interested her in the field of medicine. She was great at putting individuals at ease, even when they were scared to death. 

At about the same time, she started sharing her battle with cancer on TikTok, where her honesty and courage were quite popular. She had nearly 400,000 followers who logged in to receive updates, prayers, and keep-it-real conversations. Her videos were not staged or scripted—instead, they were authentic, genuine, and unedited. 

People watched because she told the truth gently. Anna Grace may have spent her days slaving away in an office job, but online, she was a force to be remembered when it came to spirituality and healing. She took her suffering and made it a purpose, becoming an unlikely advocate for hope and cancer awareness. Her short career was full of meaning, filled with light both in real life and online. 

Faith, Friends, and Fun 

Anna Grace's biggest passion was her faith. She liked spending time with her church, attending youth group events, and being at church camps. Her God provided the strength she needed to battle her cancer, and she leaned in big. She also enjoyed having fun with friends and building a strong community.

Her Brave Battle 

Anna Grace delivered the heartbreaking news in March of 2024 that she had been diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma, a malignant and inoperable brain tumor. She started with numbness, blindness, amnesia, and loss of balance. The MRI verified the existence of the tumor, and a biopsy confirmed the worst. Though that, Anna continued to hold faith in God and was simply incredibly brave. 

Over the subsequent months, she updated her followers, reporting on both her illness and hope. She described radiation therapies and worsening symptoms like shortness of breath and loss of speech, always openly. In one of her final videos, she reported that the tumor had spread into an important area. 

Nevertheless, she asked for prayers and hoped against hope that there would be a miracle. A GoFundMe campaign raised over $65,000 to pay for her care. Anna passed away on May 23, 2025, and her Galilee Christian Church funeral was one of love, gratitude, and faith. 

A Life Not Measured in Terms of Money 

Anna Grace Phelan's life was not one of fame or money—it was one of influence. She worked a steady job and documented her experience on TikTok, not for gain, but so others would feel heard. There is no public estimate of what her net worth was, and she likely lived modestly. 

But when she got sick, her community came back at full strength. A GoFundMe created to help pay for her medical bills collected over $65,000. That wasn't about excess—it was about love. Others gave because she had given so much of herself. 

She did not measure success as wealth, but as how many people she touched. Her story teaches that you don't have to be wealthy to make a mark. Oftentimes, the best thing you can offer is your voice, your faith, and your heart. And Anna Grace gave all three freely and courageously, until her death.
