Mother fought breast cancer

In 2009 the beautiful diva of Hollywood was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma which is an early stage of breast cancer. After the news, she went two lumpectomy surgery and then a Mastectomy surgery.

She later went reconstructive surgery in which tissue from her stomach was used to reconstruct her breast. Later she shared her experience and battle in an October 2015 essay in Ebony magazine. However, she successfully encountered breast cancer and is living now cancer-free.
