The winner of the Bronze World Medal in media communication, Catherine Herridge works as a news senior investigative in CBS since November 2019. Prior to this, she worked as a Chief Intelligence correspondent for FOX News alongside Cheryl Casone.

Second child, Peter was once diagnosed with a rare liver disease named biliary atresia, five months old. The time for the whole family has been very hard, terror and fear, and it's very hard for any parent to know such a thing.

Catherine and Hayes both waited for the donor for a few months, but it was difficult to get such a person. Catherine took it upon herself, according to the doctor's advice, to donate the liver to her son. Instead, she decided to move immediately without hesitation.

The procedure was completed on June 6, 2006, during a seven-hour operation, part of Catherine's liver was removed. It was then taken to Pittsburgh's children's hospital and transplanted the organ in a ten-hour operation. At the current moments, the whole family living a healthy life together.
