Gabriel Stefan Kapler made a career playing baseball. The once-popular player has no intention of leaving Baseball just yet since, after retiring from playing, he is now working as a manager.

Gabe used to play as an outfielder back in the day. As per Baseball Reference, he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 57th round of the 1995 MLB June Amateur Draft. He then went on to have an outstanding career.

Kapler has now switched on to take over the role of the manager. He was the head coach of the Philadelphia Phillies from 2017 to 2019. And is now the head coach of the club where Chris Shaw plays, i.e., the San Francisco Giants. He has been coaching the club since 2019.

Gabe witnessed one of the worst days of his life in 2018. His house in Malibu was destroyed by fire. He lost his home in the Woolsey fire. Reports say that Chase, his brother, and Mom were fortunate enough to survive the disaster.

The San Francisco Giants manager has also talked for those affected by this disaster. ESPN, who got their information from The Athletic, published an article where Gabe asked people to talk about the incident for those who had suffered the most in the fire. He said:

Keep talking about it. When you're out in your community, talk about it with other people. Use it as a way to come together. I sent this text message back to people: Talk about it. Shine light on it. Raise awareness. Feel it. That's my main point for other people. We're good. Our family is good. There are a lot of other families who are not.

The Woolsey Fire was a tragedy that occurred on November 8, 2018. Before the situation came under control, the wildfire managed to burn 96,949 acres of land. The fire also killed three people and made countless people homeless.
