The daughter of Hugh Hefner, Christie Ann Hefner also serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Playboy Enterprises.

Christie Hefner was born on 8th November 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Born to her American parents, Hugh Hefner, and Millie Williams, she is of White ethnicity and holds an American nationality. 

Divorced with her Husband

The Chairman of Playboy, Christie was previously living happily in married life. In 1995, Hefner exchanged her wedding vows with William A. Marovitz, who is the former Illinois state senator, currently serving as an attorney and real state developer.

The former pair lived in Chicago; surprisingly, they had no children together since the wedding. Almost after two decades of marital life, Christie and her partner decided to split in 2013, leaving no reason behind. 

Marovitz sued for illegal trade share of Playboy

However, in 2012, Christie's former partner was sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission for using secret information and trading illegal stocks that belong to Playboy. Later SEC announced that the two parties settled for $168,352.

As per The Chicago Tribune, William Marovitz received all the information through Christie. However, the complaint cleared the blame against Christie. 

Not to mention, Christie Hefner explained William personally and professionally that Marovitz shall keep the information secret and confidential and not to use it for illegal trade, as said by SEC in the lawsuit.

Joined the Playboy in 1975

Soon after graduating from Brandies University with a Bachelor's degree in English and American literature, Christie served as a freelance writer for the Boston Pheonix for a year. 

Christie came back to Chicago and worked on her father's company Playboy, where she became the vice president after four years. Miss Hefner's work and dedication led her to become the President of Playboy in 1982. 

Served as the chairman for many companies

The CEO of Playboy, Christie Hefner also served as the chairman for various companies to date. 

In May 2011, Miss Hefner became the executive chairman of luxury lifestyle brand Canyon Ranch Enterprises. In 2015, she served as the chairman of the board of Hatchbeauty Brands.
