Dakota Johnson was born on 4th October 1989 in Austin, Texas United States as Dakota Mayi Johnson. She is now 29 years according to her birthdate 4th October 1989. Further, she is the daughter of famous actor Don Jonson (father) and his first wife Melanie Griffith (mother), an actress. Her father Don is now living a happy life with his wife, Kelley Phleger.  Dakota has four paternal siblings, including actor Jesse Johnson, Stella Banderas, Alexander Bauer, Jasper Breckinridge Johnson.

Johnson is of white ethnicity and holds American citizenship.  As far as her education, she attended the Aspen Community School in Aspen, Colorado. Then she studied at the Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California. At the age of 12, Dakota became interested in modeling and also did a photo shoot for Teen Vogue.
