Elaine Irwin

Elaine Irwin is an American model, well known for her regular appearance in the advertisement of Ralph Lauren, Almay. Irwin has worked for several agencies such as IMG Models, Mega Model Agency, and more to mention. 

Irwin was born on 26th August 1969, in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, United States of America. Born to her American parents, she is of White ethnicity and holds an American nationality. 

Elaine was married to John Mellencamp

The young model was just 23 when she decided to live a marital life with John Mellencamp, who is a well-known musician. Irwin and Mellencamp exchanged their wedding vows on 5th September 1992, among their closed ones and families. 

The pair first met when Elaine was offered to appear on the cover of Mellencamp's album titled Whenever We Wanted, and shares two sons, named Speck Mellencamp (born 1995) and Hud Mellencamp (born on 27th April 1994). 

Elaine and John announced their separation

Began modeling when she was sixteen

The famous model had a deep passion for modeling and left her house during her teenage to pursue her career. Fortunately, Elaine was discovered by a renowned photographer, Paul Pelak, and his spouse Margaret Pelak. 

In 1985, Elaine's picture was featured in an American teen magazine Seventeen for the first time. Irwin gained quite massive fame after the appearance, and she was offered to work in the music video Round and Round by New Order in 1989.
