Emiley was born in 1977 as Emiley Elizabeth Zalesky. Her mother Mary Holberton is a senior associate with Global Research Services of Rockville, Md. for which she monitors studies to ensure compliance with Food and Drug Administration regulations. Her father Paul Zalesky is the vice president for research and development at the Volcano Corporation which is a manufacturer of medical devices in Rancho Cordova, California. Emiley is also the step-daughter of Philip Holberton and Linda D'Abate.
