Harmony Mendoza

"Climate is what we expect, and the weather is what we get." This quote from Mark Twain had a great impact on Harmony Mendoza's life. At age 15, she wanted to become a weather lady. At present, she is known as the meteorologist of WVTM 13 News, an NBC affiliated channel.

Harmony was born on August 23, 1979, in Tampa, Florida, the United States. She is 40 years old as of 2020. From a young age, Mendoza wanted to become a meteorologist, and now she is successful in her career.

Family Background

Harmony's father, Mario Mendoza, was from Belize, a Caribbean country located on the northeastern coast of Central America. He represented Belize in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.

Mendoza grew up in Tampa with her siblings. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Math, and Physics from Florida State University. Likewise, she received a Master of Science in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Some of her family members are professional musicians.

The longtime wvtm13 weather reporter is a married woman. Harmony is married to her husband, Bart Cooke. The couple has been together for several years. Mendoza's spouse is a cancer survivor, and currently, he is retired. Harmony prefers to keep her personal life secret as she hasn't shared much information about her married life.

Harmony and her husband welcomed their son, Angelo Cooke, in 2013. The family of three currently resides in Alabama. Additionally, Mendoza has a step-son from her spouse's previous relationship.
