After the divorce, she dated designer David Netto and had a daughter, Kate in 2001. After a couple of years, they split without a trace. Moreover, back in the 1980s, he was involved in a romantic relationship with Anthony Kiedis, the frontman of Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Her surname is derived from the Isle of Skye. Donovan Leitch Jr., her older brother, is a Camp Freddy vocalist. 

Furthermore, Skye spent much of her childhood in Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as a few years in Connecticut. She attended Los Angeles' Immaculate Heart High School and Hollywood High School.
