The X Factor U.K. contestant, Jake, lost his father, Paul, and his small brother, Olver, due to cancer. His dad, Paul Quickenden, died in 2008 after facing the most freak case of non-familial bone cancer. 

Following the death of his beloved father, his little brother, Oliver Quickenden, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma ( a type of bone cancer that increases the number of bones in the human body).

In 2012, Oliver also passed away at the early age of nineteen. Both deaths of his father and little brother, one after another, were quite unbearable for him.
