Janet Mock is an American writer, television host, director, author and transgender rights, activist. She is also the writer of the book, the Redefining Realness the memoir about her life as a transgender woman which is one of the bestsellers of The New York Times. She has her gender transmission surgery at the age of 18.

Janet Mock was born on 10th, March 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the United States under the star sign Pisces. She was raised by her father, Charlie Mock, and mother, Elizabeth Mock. Janet is a second child in the family, but her sibling's info is yet to be revealed.

The book also adds its name on the bestsellers list of New York Times. Redefining Realness is based on the author's personal experience as a trans woman.
