Matthew Brown's Career

Matthew Brown made his professional debut in 2005, winning his first bout via request. He won the International Sport Combat Federation Championship title two years later, in 2007, striking at 2:50 in the second round. 

Brown later competed in the TV show The Ultimate Fighter as a contestant. He was dismissed after reaching the quarter-finals of the game show's seventh season. Matt then made his UFC 91 debut to replace fighter Thomas, winning his first fight in the second round. 

Matthew won his fight against James Wilks at UFC 105 by 4-1. He competed in multiple UFC championships and events between 2010 and 2013, setting numerous records. He won three races in a row in 2012 as a third-place finisher.

Brown was forced to leave the UFC in 2018 due to a significant ACL injury and had to seek medical care. However, he returned in 2020 after going to rehab. He knocked out his opponent to win the bout. In June of 2021, he will face Lima in a battle. However, he lost his final game, against Carlos, in January 2021, due to a unanimous decision.

Matthew Burton Brown was born in Xenia, Ohio, on January 10, 1981. Matt was born in the Ohio hamlet of Jamestown. Ami Bush-Brown is his father, and Billy Brown is his mother. Matt came from a lower-middle-class household and frequently felt isolated from social situations. 

Matthew grew up alongside his younger brother, Ben Brown. He was hooked to numerous narcotics and overdosed on them in his early years. He did, however, recover from a near-death experience once. As a result, he was given the name The Immortal. 

During his early twenties, he had been in some very difficult circumstances. He didn't have a home or a job. He was also detained for several legal issues, including robbery, violence, and drug addiction.

Matt said that he had never been interested in formal education. He and his brother were homeschooled. Thus he began formal schooling at a young age. He went to his first school, Greeneview High School, two years after being homeschooled, and he felt strange there.
