After facing two unsuccessful nuptials, Nicole started dating the White Heart Foundation's founder and executive director, Ryan Sawtelle in 2018. The couple had their first meeting when Nicole started to follow Ryan on Instagram after seeing a post about his 8-years-old niece, Arden, who has an aggressive form of brain tumor, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

During that time, Nicole and her boyfriend, Ryan were coming up from the death anniversary of her friend, Bobby's daughter, Tessa, who was battling cancer. Moreover, the two got emotional when they saw the struggles of the patient's family. Sawtelle knew this would happen to his niece one day and they were all praying for her for the speedy recovery.

More upon this, the duo made a pact from their very first jovial conversation, where Sawtelle said, "No mention of cancer," to "save us from both crying like babies." Since then, they became romantically involved in an intimate relationship.

Nonetheless, the HGTV host, Nicole announced her secret dating life via Instagram on 14th July 2019. In the post's caption, she said, "New Jersey and her man[Ryan] with the beard attached with a love emoji."

The couple completed the first anniversary of their relationship and shared a couple's goals post on Instagram, saying, "Our before and after," on 17th July 2019.  She also said about the 38-years-old, Ryan as "He is handsome, he makes her proud, he makes her laugh and they sing every song that comes on together: him in perfect pitch knowing every word, me, not even close!" First Marriage with Steve Lane Cimini

The 5-feet 3-inches tall, Nicole first tied the knot with her college sweetheart, Steve Lane Cimini who is a professor of building construction. Since their college days, the duo was close to each other and stayed in a romantic relationship until their graduation.

At the age of 20, Nicole became pregnant with Steve's first child. Later, she gave birth to a baby boy, Ethan Lane in 1996. However, they separated after the birth of their son due to some misunderstanding.

There were some rumors that Cimini was convicted of manslaughtering and sent to prison in November 2016. It was found that he was financially backward and could not raise money for child support. Moreover, he allegedly repays Nicole around $14,685 for the betterment of their child.

Nicole's Son, Harper's Custody Battle with Her Second Husband, Shane Maguire

The 44-years-old, Curtis again fell in love with an American businessperson, Shane Maguire. The pair was in a live-in relationship. Later, they exchanged their wedding vows in a quiet ceremony. Unfortunately, their marriage ended with a divorce after finding personal differences.

Following the separation, Nicole got custody of their second son, Harper Maguire (born in May 2015). According to her divorce statement, Shane hired a woman named Lucy as a surrogate mother for their children after she could not breastfeed her child. 

Curtis, further, lends in a custody fight for their 15-month old son, Harper against her former spouse, Shane. On 20th July 2015, the court refused all of her requests to alter parenting time when she could give proper time to her baby. Moreover, the court awarded the sole custody of their son until he turns 2 after finding Nicole was "not a responsible" mother.

As a part of the custody, Nicole agreed to create a fund trust with $250,000 for their son's future. Meanwhile, Maguire received the custody money for nurturing their child in a healthy environment. As per the court's orders, Maguire has to pay back the funds by their son’s 19th birthday.

The court took the final judgment in the custody battle between Nicole and Shane in July 2018. The final hearings resulted in continuing their co-parenting in joint custody.

American television host, Nicole Curtis initially started her own interior and exterior design business, Nicole Curtis Design from 2000 to 2012. In the meantime, she began working as a real estate agent for one of the largest real estate company, Edina Realty based in Minnesota in 2009.

Curtis later became a proud partner of the Re/Max Results realtor service firm for almost two years from 2010 to 2012. Since then, she joined the Keller Williams Integrity Realty firm based in Greater Minneapolis, St. Paul Area.

Wins the Dispute Over Detroit Old House Ownership Case against Detroit Land Bank Authority!

Keller Williams Integrity Realty realtor, Nicole initially sued the Detroit Land Bank Authority for claiming fake ownership. According to the reports, her company, Detroit Renovations LLC, owned the 1921 foursquare at 451 East, Grand Boulevard for $17,000 in 2017 and she rehabbed the property with total expenses of $60,000.

On the other hand, the Detroit Land Bank Authority said that the property is under the house's owner during the long court battle. As per the land band executive director, Saskia Thompson denied the claims of Curtis over the property, saying;

“She[Nicole Curtis] never owned the house. If she has any legal cause of action, it’s not against us,”

“We’re not the ones that took money from her for that property. Someone else did when they no longer owned it.”

Nevertheless, Nicole proclaimed that she committed a huge investment into the rehabbing of the Detriot property. Also, The Detriot News published an article about Nicole's plan to invest $500,000 more on the Detriot property.

Nicole, further, went to discuss with Detroit Mayor, Mike Duggan about the property dispute. But, Moreover, her attorney accused the Detroit Land Bank Author of "misrepresenting the material facts." Nicole realized that she was taken advantage of.

During the judgment day at the Circuit Court of Wayne County, the chief judge, Timothy Kenny came to Nicole's favor after finding the renovation agreement record on the Detriot house before the Bank Authority of Detriot Land on 20th May 2021. 

Wayne County Judge, Kenny also proclaimed that the property is fully renovated and the risk of danger towards the public is certainly reduced. Henceforth, the property of the Detriot house was given to Nicole after the long dispute.

Early Life of Rehab Addict Host, Nicole Curtis

The host of Rehab Addict, Curtis was born as Nicole Lynn Curtis on 20th August 1976 in Lake Orion, Michigan, USA. Furthermore, she grew up in a friendly environment with her brother, Ryan Curtis under her parents, Rod Curtis and Joanie Curtis' guardianship.

Nicole completed her intermediary level education from a public school, Lake Orion High School in Orion Township, Michigan. Later, she enrolled at the University of Michigan, where she became active in extracurricular activities, including dance and sports.
