The prominent politician, Rick, has been through the most hurting life tragedy. Initially, the 61-year-old lost his son, Gabriel, in 1996. He was born after 20 weeks of pregnancy and died after two hours of delivery. Later, he wrote that he and his wife slept with their dead son that night.

Later, his youngest daughter, Bella, was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, which is a condition more-threatening than Down Syndrome. Because of it, she was disabled, and doctors also stated that she has a low rate of survival. Fortunately, Bella survived from it with the support of her parents. 

In the 2012 presidential campaign of Rick, he told The Washington Post that, 

"The best thing I could do was to treat her differently and not love her, 'I remember holding that finger, looking at her and realizing what I had done."
