A prominent and adored actress previously, actress Roseanne Barr is now a standing victim of the cancel culture; many might disagree with the actress being a victim though. Barr faced a massive backlash and annihilation after making a racist remark about a reputed Black politician back in 2018.  

Roseanne Cherrie Barr, 70, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, is best known for her Emmy-winning role as Roseanne Conner in the critically-acclaimed ABC sitcom, Roseanne. Barr recently looked back on the scandal and instead of owning up to her misstep, she attacked her fellow Roseanne co-star, Sarah Gilbert, for joining the thousands who criticized her.  

Roseanne Barr's First Marriage!  

The sitcom alum's long history of failed marriages only proves that it is not her cup of tea. Roseanne was only 22 when she fell in love and married Bill Pentland, in 1974. The pair were married for a long time, sixteen to be precise.   

 During their long conjugal life, the two welcomed three children, Jessica Petland, Jenny Pentland, and Jake Petland. Barr's first marriage ended amid her cheating scandal with legendary comedian, Tom Arnold, in 1990.  

Given Roseanne's celebrity at the time, the infidelity speculation sent the media into a frenzy, and in the process, some more secrets were discovered about the sitcom actress. It was revealed that the Roseanne actress had had her first child at 17, and given it up for adoption.

Barr's daughter, Jenny Pentland, released a memoir, This Will Be Funny Later, in which she shared her challenges of growing up under her famous, yet stern mother. Jenny also pens the many incidents, including her mom's affair, secret child, and the high-profile divorce with her dad, and how it all affected her and her siblings.    

Barr and Pentland's oldest daughter, Jessica, has worked as a writer, producer, and researcher, in Hollywood. The former couple's second daughter, Jennifer, is also a writer and has credits in Childhood Thoughts, Roseanne, and The Roseanne Show. Barr and her ex-husband's youngest, Jake, also followed in his sisters' footsteps to become a writer.  

Roseanne Barr's Second Marriage!  

The Emmy-winning actress sent a wave of shock and left many questioning her rectitude when she married comedian Tom Arnold, just four days after finalizing her divorce from Pentland. The duo met when Arnold opened one of Roseanne's stand-up comedy acts in 1983.   

The pair hit it off while the actress was still married to her first husband. They walked down the aisle in January 1990- only to call it quit in 1994. Barr and Arnold didn't have any children during the period. Since parting ways, both Roseanne and Tom have maintained a civil relationship for the most part, but have been embroiled in occasional nasty fights.  

When the sitcom actress was criticized and subsequently canceled in 2018, Arnold, who is an anti-Trump celebrity as opposed to Barr, called out his ex-wife for her racist remarks. Following his brief nuptials with the Roseanne actress, Arnold went on to get married and divorced three times. 

Inside Roseanne Barr's Last Marriage!   

Roseanne didn't get a happy ending even in her third nuptial. A year after finalizing her divorce from Arnold, the Emmy winner married her love, Ben Thomas, in 1995. With Ben, Barr further expanded her brood with the birth of their son, Buck.    

The pair were married for nearly seven years until their divorce in 2002. Not much is known about the actress's last marriage, but judging from Barr's scornful statements about her ex-husband, it didn't end very amicably.  

The Golden Globe-winning actress accused her third ex-husband of threatening her. In a shocking revelation, Roseanne revealed that Ben had left for a trip to the Philippines, and upon his return,  he had brought a new Mrs along with him. The actress was allegedly threatened to pay for Ben's new life with his new wife.  

Who is Roseanne Barr Dating?  

Roseanne may have given up on marriage, but not on love. At 70, the actress is committed to her partner of over two decades, Johnny Argent. The pair spent the first year of their relationship talking over the phone before taking things seriously in 2003.   

In an interview with The Guardian, the actress gushes about falling in love with Argent's voice. The twosome has since been living together in Hawaii. Roseanne hasn't shared any plans about getting hitched to her longtime partner, but the couple has been together through ups and downs, even during Barr's scandalous moment in 2018.
