In 2017, ESPN extended its contract with Scott Van Pelt with a new gigantic deal. It's not new for such enormous deals in sports, but for a sportscaster has certainly grabbed a lot of attention.

With that attention, many of his viewers who are 18-34 years of male want to be up and close with their favorite sportscaster. His average viewership of 181,000 grants him to being a top-rated host. His Intimate Married Life

According to online sources, the sports center host, Van Pelt, exchanged wedding vows with Stephanie Van Pelt. Apart from their vague wedding date, which is in 2011, there are no records of the couples' intimate matrimonial ceremony.

The pair remains silent on the details of their big day. But we can assume that they might've had a hell lot of fun at their reception. Not just that, Scott rarely talks and posts pictures of his family on social media.

According to sources, the couple is living in a blissful married life. They are not surrounded by any controversies or rumors as of now.

From his marriage, the sports center host became a father to two children. Stephanie gave birth to a daughter, Lila Van Pelt, and a son, Sam Van Pelt. In a segment of Sports Center, he wished his daughter a happy birthday.

He said,

"I would just say this- to any man out there who is about to become a dad for the first time... Maybe you grew up in sports, like me. Maybe you're thinking you want a boy. And I get it, I do. That was me. And my sons are a joy to me."

Scott, furthermore, says,

"There's no greater love you'll ever know, and nothing that will change your worldview more than holding a little girl and imagining the world through her eyes."

He is a very responsible father and enjoys spending time with his children whenever he's free from his busy schedule. Currently, he is living in a mansion in Connecticut with his family.

Van Pelt an Integral part of ESPN

According to ESPN's executive producer, Scott is an integral part of the channel, and signing him with a new deal is a success for the network. In 2017, Van Pelt signed a new agreement with ESPN keeping him at the Sports network for years to come.

Besides hosting Sports Center, he also hosts the network's golf coverage. His show is the top-rated program based on the average viewer countdown. His average viewership is more than Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert's talk show. 

At the network, there are many top sportscasters like Colin Cowherd, Peter Rosenberg, and many more which makes ESPN one of the best sports network in the world. Recently in January 2019, former ESPN employee Bill Simmons called Scott 'overrated' and said he knows more about sports gambling.
