Teri Hatcher

American actress Teri Lynn Hatcher is one of the prominent Hollywood personalities who is entertaining the audience since 1985. She is widely recognized for her role in Desperate Housewives as Susan Mayer for which she won Golden Globe and three Screen Actors Guild awards.

Lynn Hatcher was born on 8th December 1964 in Palo Alto, California, to Esther Hatcher and Owen Walker Hatcher Jr. Her fatherserved as an electrical engineer, whereas the mother was a computer programmer for Lockheed Martin. She is of White ethnicity and holds American nationality.

Teri's Past Marriage

Hatcher first tied the knot with Marcus Leithold on 4th June 1988 after years of dating. The pair, however, failed to handle their married life, and within less than a year, they split apart.

Then, Teri married Jon Tenney on 27th May 1994 in the presence of their closed ones. John is an American actor well known as Fritz Howard in The Closer. Additionally, they welcomed their daughter Emerson Rose on 10th November 1997.

After being together for nine years, Teri and John decided to split apart and citing some irreconcilable differences, they officially divorced in March 2003. Their daughter was just six years old during the time of separation, so both the duo decided to co-parent Emerson though the court handed her custody to Teri. 

Sexually abused by Uncle

In 2006, Teri Lynn Hatcher stated that her Uncle Richard Hayes Stone abused her from her early age of five. She also cited that her parents did not know about the abuse.

Hatcher moreover, helped prosecutors standing for Santa Clara County with their indictment of Richard for another molestation, which led the victim to suicide at the young age of fourteen. 

Later, Hayes pleaded guilty for molesting four children and received 14 years of imprisonment. On 19th August, Richard Hayes Stone passed away due to colon cancer after serving for six years in prison. 

Professional Career

Soon after completing her acting studies via American Conservatory Theater, Teri kicked off her career as a cheerleader in NFL for San Franciso 49ers. 

In 1985, Teri made her acting debut in The Love Boat as Amy. Later, she gained more fame after her portrayal of Lois Lane in the movie Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman.
