Who is Tim Sebastian? 

Tim Sebastian is Conflict Zone's host and chairman, the hard-hitting, flagship political talk show of Deutsche Welle. Tim chaired The New Arab Debates before this, which was also broadcast and circulated on Deutsche Welle TV globally between 2011 and 2015.

Tim Sebastian was born on 13 March 1952, in London, England. At Westminster School, a fee-paid independent school in central London, Sebastian completed his school level. 

He holds a BA Honors degree from New College, Oxford University in Modern Languages and speaks German and Russian. Similarly, he graduated in 1974 with a Diploma in Journalism Studies from Cardiff University. There is no information about his parents, siblings, and early life. 

Sebastian started his career as a journalist at Reuters in 1974, moving to the BBC in Warsaw in 1979 as a foreign correspondent. In 1982, he became BBC's European correspondent for Moscow in 1984 (until his expulsion from the USSR in 1985) and then from 1986 to 1989 for Washington. He has worked with famous journalist Andrew Neil and admires his work as well.
