Tisha has two sons from her twenty-one years long marriage with Duane Martin. Her fist born son is Xen Martin, born on August 8, 2001. Then, she gave birth to her younger son, Ezekiel Czar Martin, born on September 8, 2009. 

Tisha revealed that she named her first son Xen because she wanted his initials to be an "X." She said that it was because she and her husband were driving to an ultrasound. And while driving, they were listening to Xzibit. 

And then, when they were doing the ultrasound, they saw the baby making Xzibit's signature sign as "X" with crossing his arms. Then they thought it was kind of a sign and decided to name the baby with the letter X.

Moreover, Xen, the same boy, has autism. Though autistic, he has been doing very well, and Tisha said he has far surpassed all her expectations for him. She said that she was very proud of him.

Back in 2016, Tisha Campbell and her then-husband, Duane Martin, filed for bankruptcy. The couple was even accused of hiding money in their bankruptcy proceedings. This incident is a scandal as Trisha accused her then-hubby of pulling a bankruptcy scam in her divorce filings in 2018.

Duane allegedly used a loan from the Will Smith family to hide money and line his pockets. He was hiding money from Trisha from real estate and clothing sales and seeking spousal support at the end of their marriage.

Why Trisha Left My Wife And Kids?

In 1996, the show's star, My Wife And Kids, Tisha Campbell, suddenly left the show in November 1996, shocking viewers. Then following her departure, she sued her co-star, Martin Lawrence, for "sexual harassment, sexual battery and verbal abuse". 

However, Martin denied the claims made by Tisha. He called the allegations to be a "lot of bullsh*t." He said:

“We don’t need to talk about something that just didn’t happen. So I just decided to walk away from the show. I just decided to end it. People said I got cancelled, but that wasn’t the case. I decided to just leave the show.”

The case was settled out of court, and the actor ended the show. However, he refused to admit that the show ended because of this harassment scandal. And he also claims not to bear any ill will for his former star. 

He said:

“I love Tisha. I’ve seen her then and now, now and then, always with nothing but love, I have nothing but love for her, and I always have.”

Tisha is the daughter of a gospel-singing nurse mother, Mona Campbell and a chess master cum factory worker father, Clifton Campbell. She inherited the smarts and the talent from her parents, and they truly nurtured her. 

Her early years were fulfilling with adequate play time, vocal coaching lessons from her mom, and singing in concerts. One of the negative incidents of her childhood that Tisha reported was that she had been sexually assaulted at the young age of three by a male babysitter. The assailant later went to prison.
