Alloway later became Financial Times Alphaville reporter in 2008. Furthermore, FT Alphaville promoted her designation as debut editor in 2010 and then, capital markets correspondent in 2011.

Alloway left FT Alphaville to serve as a correspondent at Bloomberg News based in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2016. Moreover, she served as executive managing editor for Bloomberg Markets and Cross-Asset Markets for four years.

Hong Kong-based financial journalist, Tracy spent her early years in Vienna, Austria. At that time, she regularly went to a non-profit school, Vienna International School from 1998 to 2000.

Alloway travelled to Tokyo, Japan to study at the International School of the Sacred Heart from 2000 to 2002. She then moved to London, England, where she enrolled at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2002.

Alloway, further, graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in International Relations from the university in 2005. She also studied PG Diploma in Print Journalism at the University of Westminster from 2005 to 2006.
