Who is Ed Byrne?

Everybody loves comedy shows. All we have to the comedians and stand-up comedians work very hard to entertain and make us laugh. Today we are talking about Ed Byrne, who is well known Irish comedian.

Edward Cathal Byrne a.k.a Ed Byrne is an Irish voice over artist and stand-up comedian. He is well known as the presenter of the television shows such as Just For Laughs and Uncut! Best Unseen Ads. He is also recognized for his appearance in the 200 ITV adaptation of the pantomine Alladin.

Ed was born on 16th April 1972, in Dublin, Ireland. Born to his Irish parents, Jill Byrne and Eddie Byrne, Cathal is of White ethnicity and holds Irish nationality. 

He grwe up with his brothers Stephen Byrne, Paul Byrne and a sister Trish Byrne. Talking about his education, Byrne joined the University of Strathclyde and studied horticulture. 

Byrne began comedy night show The Comedy Cellar based in the 13th Note public house on Glassford Street, Glasgow. After a few months Cathal left his sttudies and shifted to London. He was later invited to perform at The Comedy Cellar.

In 2006 Ed went on a UK tour, recording a DVD in Leeds, titled Pedantic and Whimsical, which became one of the "greatest hits" set of his career to date.

As of now, Ed appears in series of comedy shorts on the MSN Video Channel, where he talks about his pet hates including girlfriend's snoring and occasional smokers.

Besides, Ed is also known for his writing skills. Byrne has written a column for the hillwalking magazine TGO, where he tries to do different outdoor activity every month in th company of an expert. 

Moreover, Ed also appeared in the reality television show named The Great Comic Relief Bake Off, where other known figures Claudia Winkleman and Martha Kearney also appeared.

Is Ed Byrne Married or Single?

Cathal is a married man. Ed exchanged his wedding vows with Claire Walker in 2008. The couple first met at the 2003 Edinburgh comedy festival when she was woking as Dara's PR agent.

Furthermore, there are no rumors or controversies of the couple that leads into their separation or divorce. It's been more than a decade, Ed and his spouse are together and still has strong bond and love. 

Children

From their marriage, Ed and his wife shares two children. Both of them are sons, Cosmo Byrne and Magnus Byrne. 

Magnus was born in 2010 and he is eleven year old currently, and the younger one Cosmo was born in 2011.
