Who is Elizabeth Day?

Some people are born with great talents. While being in a single profession, they also handles several other activities. Today we are going to discuss same personality, Elizabeth Day is an English journalist, broadcaster, and novelist as well. Likewise, she is the former writer for The Observer from 2007 to 2016 and has written four novels as well.

Elizabeth Day was born on 10 November 1978 in England. But she was raised in Northern Ireland by her parents Tom Day and Christine Day. Her father was a general surgeon at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. The day holds British citizenship and is of white ethnicity. Talking about her education, she studied at Malvern St James Girls School in Worcestershire. Also, she attended at Queens' College Cambridge in History. She was interested to be a seven-year-old writer. And at the age of 12, Elizabeth was a columnist for the Derry Journal.

After graduating, Day worked on the Londoners ' Diary for a year for the Evening Standard before becoming a news reporter on The Sunday Telegraph, initially on trial lasting three months. Subsequently, Day wrote on Sunday for Elle and The Mail. She was a feature writer for The Observer from 2007 to 25 March 2016.

Asides journalism career, Elizabeth Day, is an artist. Some of her novels are Home Fires (2013), Paradise City (2015) and The Party (2017).

In 2004, Day won the Young Journalist of the Year Award at the British Press Awards while working for the Telegraph. In 2012, Elizabeth owned UK Press Awards for journalism. Also, she gained a commendation in the 'Feature Writer of the Year (Broadsheet) category.

The news broadcaster, Elizabeth Day, is a married and divorced woman as well. She tied the wedding knot with her former husband Kamal Ahmed after dating for several years. Her husband Ahmed is a British Journalist who is working as an editorial director for the BBC News. 

Day and her love of life Kamal walked down the wedding aisle in December 2011. Moreover, the wedding ceremony was attended by their closed ones only. Now, talking about the couple's children, there is no news yet regarding their offspring.
