Who is Sophie Long? 

Sophie Long is best known for her job at BBC News as a broadcast journalist and a newsreader. She's also a BBC News news presenter. Her presence as a significant presenter at BBC News Channel is also incredible with her highest level of trust. 

Sophie Long was born in December 1976 in Torquay, Devon, England as Sophie Rebecca Long. Although Long was born in Torquay, she grew up in Weston-super-Mare. She attended Weston's Broadoak School. Then, she completed her A-levels at the Sixth Form Center of Weston College. 

She worked as an election monitor in Cambodia after graduating from King's College London with a degree in War Studies. Long returned to the UK before relocating to ITN as a newsroom assistant in London, working for Reuters news agency.

Long studied for a diploma in broadcast journalism at Falmouth College of Arts after gaining a BBC scholarship, the first bursary in honor of the late Jill Dando. Before entering the BBC News Training Scheme, she worked for BBC Radio Shropshire and BBC Hereford and Worcester as a journalist for Spotlight.

Unlike her hot and happening career, Long has quite complicated and love life. In 2010, Sophie tied a knot with Will Green. Their wedding ceremony was held at Cornwall, United Kingdom. However, only after two years of marriage, the couple decided to part their way from each other. The pair divorced in 2012 without mentioning the reason for their divorce.
