Emi Canyn was an American singer who performed with Alice N Thunderland, She Roc, and Cannon. She was born on 5th December 1954 in Tacoma, Washington, the United States of America. The singer is of White ethnicity and holds American citizenship.

Apart from her fame as a singer, Emi also garnered recognition via her husband. Canyn exchanged her vows with an American musician, founder of the rock band Motley Crue, Mick Mars. The musician couple dated for several years and decided to get married in 1990.

After staying together for two and a half years, Emi and Mars began facing problems, and they divorced in May 1994. However, the reason for their divorce is still unknown. Moreover, the couple does not share any children.

Even though Mick and Canyn never shared any children, she became a step-mother via her spouse's past relationship. Mick has two children with his previous wife, Sharon Deal. After the divorce, she stayed low profile, as she was not spotted dating anyone. 

Soon after ending with Emi, Mars was in a relationship with his girlfriend Robbie Mantooth from 1995 to 2004. As of now, Mick is dating Seraina Fai Schonenberger. Mars is dating his girlfriend since 1st June 2007 and is married to her on December 14, 2013. The duo is now in nuptial for over six years and seems very much happy with each other.

On 25th February 2017, the famous singer passed away when she was at her home in Washington. The singer passed away at the age of 63. 

After the death of a famous singer, many of her fans want to know more about the reason for her death. According to some sources, Canyn passed away due to natural causes. However, the precise cause of her death is still unknown.

Emi Canyn's Early Life

Born to her American parents Eleanor Schmidt and Joan McMahan, Canyn's birth name is Emi Jo Schmidt. There is no information about her family background and siblings. Moreover, her educational background is also not revealed apart from her high school name Mount Tahoma High School.

In late 1970, Canyn shifted to California to pursue her career in singing. She performed with many of her bands along with backup vocals during a tour with the band Motley Crue

Her ex-husband Mick Mars, on the other hand, is a famous American and lead guitarist for the band Motley Crue. At the early age of 9, Mars began playing for the group. Moreover, Mars also filed a case for an advertisement in a newspaper named The Recycler, which mentioned Mick to be an aggressive, loud, and rude guitarist.
