Gloria Allred was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the USA on July 3, 1941, as Gloria Bloom. She was born into a working-class family of Philadelphia, who is Jewish. Her mother Stella was a housewife, and father Morris worked as a salesman. 

Gloria attended the University of Pennsylvania after graduating from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She earned a bachelor's degree with honors in English sub-1963. She wrote her honors thesis on black writers. 

She became a teacher after earning a master's degree and moved to Los Angeles, California. She also joined the Los Angeles Teachers Association and taught at Fremont High School and Jordan High School.

Gloria has been represented a wide variety of clients in civil rights and has involved women's rights, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and discrimination.

Later she discovered she was pregnant and sought an abortion, but abortion was illegal at that time, so she had a back-alley abortion. She began hemorrhaging and became infected after undergoing the procedure. She did not report any case because she thought that no one will ever believe her.

Married to the Peyton Huddleston Bray Jr.

Gloria met her former husband, Peyton Bray while she was at the University of Pennsylvania. After knowing each other enough eventually they both get married in 1960. Second marriage

After divorce with her first husband, she met a new friend, William Allred. They both shared a pleasant bond and ultimately tied the knot on 1968. The couple was happily married for 19 long years although they don't share any child. The long-wedded couple then gets separated and divorced in 1987.
