In a shocking incident, Joel said that he was attacked by two white men, who were strong supporters of the former US President, Donald Trump. But, the truth came out much later that it had never actually happened. 

Joel had made up the attack completely with the help of his brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo. He had paid $3500 to them to synchronize the attack. Jussie further did more damage to his already ruined reputation with his theatrics inside the court. 

CNN has reported that the actor was loudly shouting and saying to everyone that he did nothing wrong. And, even told that if he dies in prison, he didn't take his life which many people felt that he was trying to play the victim one more time despite everything.
