Many people across the world mourned the death of a famous country singer, Joey Marie Feek. She gathered media limelight after performing on CMT talent show, Can You Duet, along with her husband, Rory Lee Feek. 

The late singer and songwriter, Joey was born on 9 September 1975 in Alexandria, Indiana, the USA, to Jack and June Martin. She has three sisters (Jody, Julie, and Jessie) and one brother, Justin, who passed away in 1994 in a car accident. Joey and Rory met for the first time at a songwriter night and started dating as soon as they met. After a couple of years of ups and downs in their relation, they decided to exchange their wedding vows with each other. The big day came on 15 June 2002 in a low-key ceremony when Joey was 27-years-old.

The lovely couple started the duo Joey+Rory after the marriage and participated in the TV music competition, Can You Duet. Then after, they were known as half of the husband-and-wife vocal duo. The two remained a married couple until 2016 when she died of Cancer.

The answer is 'Yes.' Not only the duo had a happy relation together, but they also enjoyed parenthood as they share a child named Indiana Boon. Boon was born on 17 February 2014, and she is currently five years old. 

Their daughter was born with a defect called Down Syndrome. It is a condition in which a person has an extra chromosome. Usually, a baby is born with 46 chromosomes. As of now, Indiana must be attending her elementary school.

Joey's husband, Rory, was previously in a marital relationship with Tamara Gilmer on 4 August 1985. However, the two parted their ways after seven years of marriage, which was precisely on 25 March 1992. The former couple also shares two kids, Heidi (born in 1986), and Hope (born in 1988).

Back in May 2014, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, but after surgery and treatment, she was declared cancer-free. However, in June 2015, her cancer returned, and she was hospitalized. Joey underwent second cancer surgery to remove a 3-inch tumor in July 2015.

Even after numerous tries and treatment, the tumor grows back again and again until no more treatment options left. The only option for her is to be as comfortable as possible for the time she had gone to live. 

She entered the hospice care on 9 November 2015, and after a year, she left this world precisely on 4 March 2016 at 2.30 PM. At the time of her death, she was 40 years old, and her grave is in the family cemetery on the Feek Farm. 

Four years after Joey's death, her husband still feels "100% Married." Rory told in an interview with The People.
