She went to Paris with Drai, where they fell in love watching a lot of French movies together. One of those movies inspired Drai to conceive of the idea for, the movie The Woman in Red featuring Kelly Lebrock.

The movie may have been an enormous success for Drai, but sadly it cost him his wife. Kelly Lebrock started to become a sex symbol that started to attract attention from countless males. Distracted by the continuous attention, her relationship with Drai started to suffer and in 1986, after only two years of marriage, the two went to divorce.

The publicist from Lebrock, Dick Gutman introduced them to each other and quickly a romantic relationship started between the couple. Seagal married Lebrock in September 1987 after finalizing his ex-wife divorce. Unfortunately, what seemed like the ideal marriage, in the beginning, ended in a catastrophe.

Lebrock later revealed that for her children's sake she suffered a lot of trauma in the marriage. Citing irreconcilable differences, she lastly filed for a divorce in 1994. Then in 1996, they finalized their divorce.
