Who is Kirill Shamalov?

Kirill Shamalov aka Kirill Nikolayevich Shamalov is a Russian businessman. Also, he is well-identified as the former husband of Yekaterina Putina (Katerina Tikhonoa) and former son in law of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kirill Shamalo was born on 22 March 1982 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Further, he is the younger son of Nikolai Shamalov, but his mother identify is not disclosed to the media. His father is a co-owner of Rossiya Bank. Shamalov holds Russian citizenship, whereas ethnicity is unknown. As far as his education, he earned a degree from Saint Petersburg State University in jurisprudence.

In 2012, Kirill Shamalov became an industry leader when he was appointed to Deputy CEO by Sibur's owners as Vice President of Business Administration. Likewise, Kirill was given a 4.3% stake in the company. He also bought an extra 17 percent of Sibur from Sibur's owner Gennady Timchenko for about $2.2 billion with the help of a Gazprombank loan.

 In April 2017, Shamalov sold his shares of Sibur and purchased from Timchenko to Leonid Mikhelson. Now, he is a vice-president of Sibur holding. Moreover, Kirill is a former economic advisor to the Russian government.

After the marriage with Vladimir Putin's daughter Katya, Nikolayevich Shamalov joins the elite billionaire's group close to Vladimir. Then with less than 18 months, he became a significant shareholder in Sibur. After a year, he got a billion-dollar loan from Gazprombank and then bought a 17% stake in Sibur from Gennady Timchenko, who was subject to U.S. penalties (EO 13661).

As of now, Kirill Shamalov has maintained his relationship under the sleeves or in private. Hence, there are no details about his current relationship status to the media.

However, Shamalov was once married to his long-term girlfriend turned wife, Yekaterina Putina. By profession, Yekaterina is a professional Russian acrobatic dancer and is the younger daughters of Russian president Vladimir Putin and Lyudmila Putina.

Shamalove and Putina walked down the wedding aisle in the year 2013 at an intimate ceremony. Likewise, during their long-term marriage relationship, they used to live a happy life. Talking about their children, they don't share any kids from their nuptials.
