Larry McCormick was born as Lawrence William McCormick on February 3, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. Larry is among the two children born to.L.W. McCormick and his wife, Laura McCormick. His father was a pastor, and his mother was a pianist and a vocalist. Larry has a brother named Charles McCormick. He graduated from the University of Kansas City in the mid-1950s.

It is a matter of the fact that Larry is no more with us. Larry left his beautiful home to almost 8 billion population on August 27, 2004, in Los Angeles, California. Larry had been battling with cancer-related diseases for some time. 

Larry lost the fight and departed of a cancer-related illness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 71. His body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Forest Lawn. In 2014,John Seigenthaler, a famous American journalist, and writer passed away at the age of eighty-six due to cancer.

Larry lived a beautiful and peaceful married life, along with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Larry was the grandfather of two grandsons. Larry married his girlfriend, Anita, in the 1960s.

Larry moved across town to KTLA in May 1971 and worked there until he died in 2004. In addition to being a news reporter, McCormick appeared in numerous films and television series over the years. 

Larry made his stage acting debut in 1968 with Speed in The Odd Couple at the Ebony Showcase Theater in Los Angeles. As an actor, McCormick usually appeared in guest spots on TV shows, mostly on TV dramas and sitcoms. He also made appearances in such movies as The Punisher (1989) and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. 

He was also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work in Television. In 1994, McCormick was honored with the Governor's Award, a high, prestigious honor given annually by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
