Natalie Wihongi

Famously known as the former wife of actor Karl Urban Natalie Wihongi is a well-known New Zealander make-up artist. Professionally, she is best recognized for her work in several domestic and international films like The Privateers.

Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, she is of Caucasian ethnicity and holds New Zealander nationality. Talking about her age, Wihongi might be living in her 40's. 

Natalie Wihongi's Marital life

The talented make-up artist was a married woman. In September 2004, Natalie exchanged her wedding vows with her long-term boyfriend, Karl Urban, at an intimate ceremony. 

Karl is widely recognized for his portrayal as Julius Caesar in the movie Xena: Warrior Princess. He is also famous for his appearance in the film Lord of the Rings and Thor. Natalie first met Karl in 2000, when they were on a shoot for The Privateers, and started dating.

Divorce

Wihongi and Urban married life were going smoothly until and unless their personal differences started hitting their relationship. Moreover, they were together for ten years before announcing their separation in 2014, which finalized the same year. Later, talking about their divorce, the pair stated,

''It is with great regret that we, Karl Urban and Natalie Wihongi, have made the mutual decision to separate.''

They added, 

''We are committed to maintaining our family relationship working together to ensure that our children are affected as little as possible.'' 

After divorce, Karl started dating actress Katee Sackhoff in 2015, but this one also ended on a sad note in 2018. On the other hand, Natalie chooses to stay as a single mother raising her two beautiful kids. 

Mother to Two Children

Wihongi shares two adorable children with her former husband. The ex-couple welcomed their first son, Hunter Urban, on December 16, 2000, just after two months of marriage. They became parents for the second time on June 28, 2005, with the birth of a son, Indiana Urban. 

Both of her children were young when she split with her husband, so, the court grants the custody of children to Natalie. However, the former partner decided to co-parent their kids. 

Net worth- $1 Million

The famous make-up artist is working in this field since 2000 with many popular celebrities. Considering her career graph, her net worth is around $1 million, which is more than another make-up artist Stahr Milan. 

The average salary of a make-up artist in New Zealand is $17.49 per hour, but as a professional artist, she surely earns more than the average figure. Besides that, she must receive staggering alimony from her divorce settlement.

Natalie lived in a luxury mansion worth $3.58 million (NZ$5.4 million) in the Herne Bay section of Auckland, but soon after their divorce, they sold their mansion at $4.18 million (NZ$6.65 million) in December 2014. Additionally, the pair also shares another five-bedroom villa in Herne Bay, worth $956,000. 

On the other side, Natalie's former partner Karl collected a massive sum of amount from his career as an actor. He has a staggering $20 million net worth as of 2020.

Make-up career

Soon after completing her high school studies via Epsom Girl's Grammar School, Natalie developed her interest in make-up and decided to further her career as a make-up artist. 

After many years of hard-work, Wihongi got an opportunity to work as a make-up artist for the movie The Privateers. She gained pretty massive fame after her work. The following, she also worked as a make-up artist for the film The Rain.

Natalie, however, became famous all over after her marriage with Karl Urban (ex-partner).
