Who is Nick Grimshaw?

Nick Grimshaw is a British radio presenter and television actor. He is widely famous as a host for Radio 1 Breakfast Show. Moreover, Nick is also known as the judge in the twelfth series of The X Factor.

Nick was born on 14th August 1984, in Manchester, England, where another journalist Justin Webb was born. Born to his English parents Eileen Grimshaw and Peter Grimshaw, he is of White ethnicity and holds British nationality. Nick grew up with his sister Jane Grimshaw and a brother Andy Grimshaw.

Talking about his education, Grimshaw joined the University of Liverpool to receive a degree in Communication and Media Studies, but he could not pass in the final year. Later, Nick graduated with DipHE instead of Bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nick was the member fo the University's student radio station named ICON Radio.

Nick kicked off his professional career in 2007 when he joined BBC Radio 1 and began presenting the program named Switch along with DJ Annie Mac. He served for nine years at BBC Radio 1.

Additionally, after Collin Murray left, Grimshaw began presenting the 10pm-midnight slot on BBC Radio1. Later, he started hosting The Radio 1 Breakfast since 2012, replacing Chris Moyles.

Moreover, Nick is also known for his appearance in Television shows. Grimshaw started his career in Television shows after hosting daily shows on the UK entertainment E4 channel. Later, Nick joined Channel 4 and began hosting the show named Freshly Squeezed, along with his co-host Jameela Jamil.
