Pat is active in various community initiatives as part of his job as a weathercaster for WBRZ. Pat was the Chairman of the Board of Pat's Coats for Kids, a WBRZ charity. He devised the St. Vincent De Paul Society's Community Pharmacy idea, which allowed the Fill a Prescription for the Needy program.
