Vanessa Laine Bryant

Vanessa Laine Bryant is the wife of the late, Kobe Bryant. She came to prominence at a very early age after exchanging wedding vows with her long-time partner.

Born on May 5, 1982, in California, she grew up as a Latina teen in Orange County while Bryant traveled in celebrity circles, having taken prom to singer Brandy. She took her stepfather, Stephen Laine's last name after her mother tied the nuptial knot with him in 1990. She also has one older sister, Sophie, who is ten years older than her.

The ex-model Vanessa met NBA legend when she was only seventeen-years-old while she was working as a background dancer for the video for 'G 'd Up' by Snoop Dogg's rap group The Eastsidaz.

On the other hand, Bryant was at the same building working on an album that was never released. Within a first met, the young souls were very much attached to each other. Kobe began sending her massive bunches of flowers at school and started picking her up in his Mercedes Benz. 

With so much love and closeness, the pair finally got engaged only after six months of dating, which they announced at her 18th birthday party. Due to the attention that she garnered became too much that she reportedly had to complete her senior year being home-schooled to avoid media.

Exchanging wedding vows with NBA legend

Just one year after getting engaged in May 2000, the couple tied in a nuptial knot in April 2001 at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point. 

All of the Laine's parents and family were seen there as a guest while Kobe's family was still missing on the spot. NBA star's parents and two sisters reportedly not attending the wedding due to their disapproval of the union of the two young lovebirds. 

They hinted that the primary reason was that Kobe is so young to marry, and the other is Vanessa doesn't belong to the African-American women. However, their long period of distance finally came to an end after the couple welcomes their first daughter.

The beautiful duo welcomed their first daughter, Natalia Diamante in January 2003, Gianna Bryant, who was tragically killed in the helicopter crash alongside Kobe was born in May 2006. In early December 2016, the couple was blessed with their third daughter, who they named Bianka Bella Bryant (BBB). 

Similarly, Capri Kobe Bryant, the fourth and youngest daughter, was born in June 2019. Previously, the family of six were seen almost together in every family picture and were often traveling various places. All of the duo's Instagram account was filled with the kids' photo.

The wife of the NBA legend, Laine's fortune hasn't been estimated. However, being a wife of the big shot, her net worth surely falls in a very good number. Despite this, she also belongs to the hardworking personality. 

But regarding her late husband, he is a massive money maker. At the time of his death, he had a total fortune of $600 Million. His annual income was over $25 Million. In 2016, he earned roughly $26 Million from endorsements. 

During his time as a part of lakers, he gathered over $328 Million as a salary and also collected $350 Million from the endorsement, which led him to bring total earning during his NBA career to $770 Million at his time of retirement.
