American politician, Charles Ernest Grassley, also known as Chuck Grassley is the president pro tempore of the United States Senate. Charles is also the Republican member of the United States senator from the state of lowa.
In 1980, Charles Ernest was elected to the U.S. senate. Grassley served eight terms in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1959 through 1975. In addition to that, Grassly also served as three terms in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 through 1981. Born in New Hartford, Iowa, he attended Iowa State Teachers College, which has changed its name to the University of Northern Iowa. Charles earned a degree in B.A. from the university in 1955. Similarly, a year later in 1956, he pursued an M.A. degree in political science. He pursued a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Iowa but unfortunately didn't complete his degree.
