Who is William Bumpus? 

For some individuals whose career does not mainly put them under the spotlight, such people join a familiar face to the media to get attention. This aptly defines how an assistant attorney general, William Bumpus, had to be someone who is a matter of discussion in a very short period of time. 

William Bumpus was born in Greenwich, southeast London, England, in the year 1954. Bumpus holds British nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity. Before flying to America to study at Connecticut State University, William finished his high school back in his home town of Greenwich. He then graduated from Yale University and received his law degree. 

After graduating from Connecticut, William Bumpus started to work as an assistant attorney. While working there, he worked in the administration, selecting skilled and deserving individuals for judicial appointments and authorizing prosecutions. 

William climbed higher in his career when he was employed as the Attorney Criminal Prosecutor of a CT Assistant State. As for now, Bumpus is working as a representative of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) in court instances concerning a child's neglect and abuse. 

William Bumpus Personal Life: Wife & Children 

While William did well in his law practice, he wasn't that popular among the huge mass. But he started to get as much attention as his spouse, if not more when he married Gayle King on television in 1982. 

According to reports, the two met when Bumpus moved from Kansas City to Connecticut in 1981. The pair instantly got attracted to one another, and soon after that started dating each other. Shortly after being in a relationship for about a year, they decided to get married. 

From their nuptials, the couple shares two kids. The daughter named Kirby Bumpus and William Bumpus Jr., their younger son. Famous hosts Oprah Winfrey is the Bumpus children's godmother.

William Bumpus and Gayle King stayed husband and wife for 11 long years. However, in June 1990, when Gayle allegedly caught her husband naked with another lady, their wedding basis started to wobble. Worst of all, Bumpus confessed to cheating on his spouse. 

In 1993 the couple officially split. Although they are now divorced, they have remained friends with each other. In addition, accounts accessible to us have it that William Bumpus confessed his wrongdoing after more than two decades of divorce and apologized to his wife in 2016. 

As for now, there are no details on William Bumpus' possible partner. While on the other hand his ex-wife has moved on with a guy named Corey Booker since 2006. Just like Sheree Zampino and Dave Hall and his wife has a sad ending to their love life.
